Sense Theatre runs various courses in each of the school holidays, often themed around the time of year. We always do something a bit special, whether it’s putting on a play in a week or creating a new soap opera or film trailer. We take these ideas and use the unique ethos of Sense Theatre to encourage the children to bring it to life, transforming themselves into film stars, pop idols and even zombies!
We’ve had some fantastic projects so far: take a look at the gallery of photos of previous holiday courses. In the past we have run a ghoulish half-term ‘Zombies-vs-Vampires’ workshop, complete with special effects make-up and a fully-edited film trailer; pupils have also starred in the first ever episode of ‘Starbound Stage School’, a brand new soap opera which was filmed, edited and ready for a premiere to an audience of proud parents at the end of the week! Most recently children have created their own version of Britain’s Got Talent- playing judges, contestants, presenters and everyone else involved in the popular TV show.
